Christchurch
The historical town of Christchurch grew up around its riverside Priory and a visit offers beautiful riverside walks past the old and modern. The locality offers a wide choice of cafes, bars and restaurants for refreshments and they are worth a visit day or night.
Boat Trips
During the holiday season you can jump on a ferry service operating from Christchurch Quay or Tuckton Bridge to enjoy a trip down to Hengistbury Head through Christchurch Harbour.
Alternatively, it is worth paying £30 to hire your own motor launch for an hour´s trip up the River Stour. You will be surprised how far north you can go and the riverside scenary is quite exceptional.
Mudeford Quay and Stanpit Marsh
Enjoy the eastern shores of Christchurch Harbour by taking a walk over the Stanpit Marsh nature reserve and then a visit to Mudeford Quay.
Mudeford Quay is the entrance to Christchurch Harbour and it still has an active fishing fleet. The fresh fish stall may just provide your supper. There is always something to watch and the view across to the Needles on the Isle of Wight is stunning.
The Boardwalk Apartments
The Boardwalk Apartments form an ideal base to venture out each day to explore the surrounding area.
